Halo 2 for Vista problem

I've recently purchased a legit copy of Halo 2 for Vista and installed it with no problems. I get into the campaign and play it just fine until the arbiter level is loading and it freezes with a black screen. My computer becomes unresponsive and I have to force shutdown. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it multiple times but the problem still exists. I doubt it has anything to do with my hardware specs because I can play everything else just fine until I reach the arbiter level. Anybodies help would be greatly appreciated.




Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core Processor
Memory: 2 GB RAM
Video Card: ATI Radeon X1270
OS: Vista Business

I have the exact same problem, someone please help me! I have an AMD 64x2 with 2 Gigs of ram and an ATI Radeon x1250 with 256 Mb of ram. If there is a way to skip a level or anything I can install to help, please tell me.
