Handicap in Quake 3: Arena

Anyone know what the handicap featurein Quake 3 Arena is?

I can't seem to find my Q3A manual and nothing on the internet either...

Any help??

Which handicap feature? The one in the Player menu?

Yeah, it's in the Player menu where you can choose your name, character model, and effects color (railgun projectile)

From PlanetQuake:

adjusting your handicap with the "Handicap" option allows you to make the game more difficult by choosing a value less than 100 - the lower the handicap, the tougher you'll make it on yourself.

Handicap: This will give you a health handicap; the value you choose is the amount of health you'll have each time you spawn in. It gives more advanced players a way to make the game more challenging, and is also a way to even out the game if you have both newbies and advanced players in the same game. Of course, it's voluntary, so a player has to elect to use it.

I don't have Q3A, but I hope this helps.
