Hang on the format

    I had a few computer peices i had so i stuck it all together and made this machine...

    there is a slight problem when im installing slackware10.2 on my computer
    when it goes to teh formating part, it hangs... like, i can go away for an hour, and come back, and no progress... and thats just on teh swap..

    Test your hard drive and replace the IDE cable. Linux is much more picky when it comes to faulty hardware.

    Test your installation CDs.

    Wipe the hard drive before trying to install.
