What do you think about using bulb mode, with wireless shutter set to:
First press: start bulb
Second press: stop bulb?

This is quite a good article that will allow for good practising opportunities for budding photographers. Realistically, hardly anyone ever looks back at their own fireworks photos.
 
Thanks for the guide. It was shutter speed I couldn't figure out when I tried taking pictures of the fireworks in the past. The shutter had to be way lower to produce beautiful trails.
Also, 50mm didn't serve me well. I couldnt capture large enough area, but this lens is the only one I have that works in low light .
