Hard disk felt down 2 meters! any hope?! :(

Now only three long "grrr" sounds come out when I attach my new external USB 120GB hard disk to computer. No drive shows up in my computer. But recognized "USB hard drive" on the task bar with unknown content.
There is 2 years warranty. I don't know if they can help. I'm wondering if the HD can be fixed in some way?..

Nope, its dead. You could have your data recovered, but it would cost an arm and a leg.

Well i supose it's dead and well for warranty is gone when it gets more than 300G at least thats what's written on my seagate hard drive...

I'd send it in for the warranty and get a new one. It doesn't work now, you aren't going to fix it, and the worst that happens is you don't get a new drive. Best thing that can happen is you get a new drive for free.

Mostly it will be a re-built one but you might get luckly and get an even new bigger drive than you had before? 200GB or 300GB. Whatever they have left to swap out..
