Hard drive dead?

  1. Hi Techspot

    i was using my computer fine the other day i then switched it off all fine to only come back to it not working at all.

    I get this message on pausing the screen

    adapter 1

    disks information

    no hard disk is detected

    I have also tried looking in the bios no luck at all, this is my main computer so i ned it up and running as soon as possible :)

    i have and asus p5q pro motherboard oh and a seagate baracuda 500gb sata hdd.

    anything i have missed just let me know and i will addd it.

    Check cables see if it is tight. Try your hdd on a friend's PC to see if its working.

    A quick update i have taken it out and tried it on another computer no luck seems that the hard drive is actually dead??

    It will spin as if it is loading then it will just hang like that nothing more and if you move it it will stop untill you move it into another position sounds like the drive had died as it wont go past the spinning??
