Ok i have a 20 GB HDD and for some odd reason it is just showing 13 MB of the hdd And the Partition i have tryed to Fdisk to make it give me all of that back and it still is not working anyideas as to how i could get all of the HDD back with out loosein the data? or have i lost it all ready eather way i would love to be able to USE all 20 GB.... help?

if drive is boot enable lba in bios
or set it manually
can try none if data xp and w2k can find after boot
fdisk is old tech
try acronis or a linux boot disc to reformat
I gather from comments you are running fat32 win 98 or some such

try search for partition recovery software:partition table doctor, active@ partition recovery.
your data should be there but do not write anything on hdd.
my advise is when you find your files with recovery software to copy it to somewhere else (another hdd) and then reformat the whole hdd.

there are outsource programs based on wipe it CD or FD that you can use that does a better job than fdisk does... dban is opensource (freeware) works the same process it has to be burnt to CD though for it to work..

http://dban.sourceforge.net/

Ok when you i go and use Partition Magic 8.0 it tells me thats its type 44 and i can't do anything with it sould i try to use the cd link that dude gave me... or any other ideas?.......

also for the Boot and Nuke... i have that allready i am trying to get the data off the HD and not loose it :-|

Hmm this is strange. Try to use paragon partition manager and see what it will show for your hdd and search options for unlock the hdd.
Code:
http://www.partition-manager.com/
I am not sure and never seen such a problem locked hdd but I read that a virus could lock it and you even can't boot from it.
The program that I saw to have such un option to unlock hdd is partition table doctor:
Code:
http://www.ptdd.com/
With it you make a bootable flopppy disk and then you have the option to unlock it but this is only if your hdd is lock and here it is not sure what the problem is. See what paragon will show.
