Sir, my 500 GB Portable Seagate Hard drive is not being detected anymore in My Computer but it shows up id Disk Management. When I start disk management, it tries to initialize my portable drive but reports an I/O error. Also it shows my hard drive as an unallocated and unknown device. Is there any way I can get my disk back to use without losing my datas in it?

Not very likely, at least not easily. Try it with another computer before you do anything further. Also try a different USB cable.
If those both fail, you might have some luck breaking open the case and getting at the drive itself and then placing that in an external dock..

Sounds like a partition issue with the drive - Usually requires some decent software to try and recover the data. (If the steps above don't resolve of course. Worth trying another cable/system and removing drive from enclosure.)
I've used Active@ with some good success but it costs money, has saved a few of our client systems in the past from data loss.
