  1. i'm installing a windows xp pro but it did not continue to load.........
    i have an error says:

    ***Hardware Malfunction

Call your hardware vendor for support

    ***System Halted***

I don't know which hardware it point to......
when i install i only have the basic components.

    thanx.

  2. You need to check your hardware. Start from the bios looking at the cpu temperature, and work from there. Have you changed any memory timings or other settings recently?

Ensure all of your memory and your CPU are correctly seated, clean the gunk out of heatsinks and fans, apply new thermal grease and ensure that adaptor cards are also firmly seated.

my pc is 500Mhz with 128mb ram and a 64 mb video card.
no other cards installed on it.

Have you tested your RAM or HD? Looked for bad caps?

And, yikes, don't put XP on a machine with low specs like that.

Try Windows 2000, or a flavor of Linux..

I wouldn’t load Windows XP with those specs.
You might give this a go:
    HERE
It should work the same for Windows 2000.

I extreme dislike the dreaded double-post.
