"Having problem getting sli to work"

    Problem getting both my graphics cards to be working, CODE10 Cannot Start Up, Error.
    My Mobo is an ASUS A8N-SLI
    My Graphics Cards are OC Geforce 8600 GT 256mb, both of them.
    If I only have one graphics card in everything is fine all the drivers are recognisable and it appears in Advanced Properties of Display, But with the 2 in and the Selector on the MOBO set to DUAL and the SLI Link in place there is no description of what Graphics card I have or any other details about it, and the code 10 error appears as an Exclamation confliction under System,Device Manager, Hardware.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated,
