Having probs with yahoomail on windows mail vista

yahoomail seems to be not working with vista home basic 32-bit. but the first time i used windows mail, it downloaded 40 messages. the next time it only downloaded 1 or two then error. helphelp.thanks in advance

You're referring to two different email clients, Yahoo and Windows Live Mail. You can't make Yahoo the default unless you have the paid version.

Maybe you can clarify this a bit.
