Having Ram issues

I have recently reinstalled windows after a bad windows file error, Upon reinstall I noticed that only one of my sticks of 512 is being recognized.I tested them both seprate and they both get recognized when there by them selfs but when i put both of them in only one is recognized.Any one have any suggestions as to what i should do ?

Have you tried both slots? I mean, has one of your slots gone haywire and not a ram module? Just a thought.
