    hi,
this has been goin on for a while now, i dont know what caused it.
but when i go to defragment my WD 200gb SATA HDD (non-boot drive, just storage) it goes straight up to 60% then stops,
also when i right click on the folders on the hard drive and then go into properties (after a few folders), it nearly always freezes up then a min or so later it comes up with a "delayed write error" then the hdd disappears... i have 2 reboot the pc 2 get it back again

this is really troubleing me, and im sick of it.
    any help is much appreciated.

check the attachment for the error that shows.

    thanks

This could be anything from bad SATA drivers or corrupt Windows to loose cable or HD nearing death.

I suggest you check all the cables, run a HD diagnostics utility on your drive, install the latest SATA drivers and disable any murky low level software you may have like Ghost or some antivirus.

A proper virus scan is never a useless step.
