    I think they are meant for GPUs. They wouldn't fit on RAM because there isn't enough space between the sticks of RAM. RAM sticks typically use headspreaders, not heatsinks.

    They go on the RAM chips that are built onto your video card. It just cools the memory chips on a graphics card, which are used for intensive gaming. This will also help you if you plan to overclock the memory of your graphics card.
