I have a foxconn mobo with a P4 3.0 lga775. I bought a better heatsink and fan rather than use the stock intel. The computer runs very well with an avg temp between 46 and 56. I noticed part of the heat sink on the side facing the rear would not screw down as far as the right side because it was touching something on the mobo. I've looked at it very carefully to make sure all was tight. You have to look close to see this. With this in mind and everything running well is it any cause for alarm?

If all is running fine, don't worry. Your temps are good so the heatsink is installed properly.

By the way, componates is spelled "components"... :)

I believe it is installed properly, it just that I can see the one side not going all the way down because it is stopped by a component on the board.

Just keep an eye on the temps... even if the heatsink was a little crooked or not seated it would send the CPU temps through the roof
