Actually...most of the supporters of the proposition are not pot smokers, rather people that are interested in getting our state out of debt..imagine that. And 64% of Californians say they will vote yes.

And that was hilarious when I read your mocking my "image code thingy" line. Seeing as how I deliberately stated that entire sentence in vocabulary which was obviously simpler than my normal vernacular. And I even stated so before I started the sentence.

I am getting a huge kick out of all your little minions that support you in your ongoing, yet, futile attempts at destroying me. You must be pretty popular on this forum eh? Well...I think it's time I admit something...yeah...you know more about computers than me...BUT...I bet people like me made high school a living hell for people like you :p So that makes me happy.

That one actually made me laugh...I'll give you that one.

    *Sigh*

Just so you know, this little tussle is between DBZ and I. And I know you are just trying to look cool and increase the size of your e-peen by ganging up with him ..But I assure you...I am taking nothing you say seriously, and every time I see that you have posted a new comment, I laugh inside because I know what your true motives are :p

Wow, all those "mind expanding drugs" you've been ingesting have made you soooo... perceptive. Again though, why all the negativity and paranoia? I just stopped by, (in my own little charming way), to welcome you to Techspot. I don't have to laugh "inside", since I am "ROFLMAO". BTW, do have yourself a nice day, and don't forget to exhale.

For the time being though, I'm going to try and hammer an i7-920 into a Zeon based server board, so as I can be just like one of my true heroes.

Because the 5520 is a Zeon mobo, huh? m0ron -,-

Steve, lines that this are just asking for a snappy retort. Quit the hyperbole for a minute and just take stock of what's being said.
There are basically two scenario's that can occur on a forum that incur my ire; The first, and most important is that of giving people wrong information or exacerbating a problem that someone might be having. Bad advice is much worse than no advice.
Everyone has to start somewhere, and I'm truly thankful for the help I've received from volunteers on forums who have lent their time and expertise to resolve my problems, questions, and generally increase my personal knowledge base. Just as many before me, I show my thanks through passing on my time, knowledge and yes, opinions too on occasion to those who are in position now that I once was.
The second scenario is obviously the personal attack. I make the assumption that anyone who decides to throw rocks can also take the hits. In this instance it was your combination of insufficient knowledge with attempting (I presume) to deflect attention away by deriding my comments in the Crysis thread you started.

    And as for...

I think you may be confusing some kind of forum loyalty with the fact that these people can read. You might notice that more often than not I provide citations and links when I state "facts" to distinguish them from "opinion". The links are to provide both proof and to give others a more expansive context to place these facts within. Believe it or not, some posters here will follow the links and thereby see how my reasoning came about -even if they don't agree with my point of view or argument.
This isn't a p1ssing contest Steve, it's a forum for helping others and the exchanging of knowledge. If you can't help, and the knowledge you impart is wrong or destructive then you might want to question your role here. I would have thought that the number of smackdowns you've received from other forum members might serve as a reason to re-evaluate and a cause for introspection on your part....all I see so far is someone to revels in being a kicked dog. Why else resurrect a dead post that was always going to lead to you being called out? Why dispute known facts in posts?...Sometimes if you view the scene as "you against the world" it might be time to consider that maybe it's not the worlds' point of view wherein the fault lies.

And as for the mocking of your "system" spec's....well, that only became a marquee event once you initiated the bs. So if you're prepared to provide the ammo and load the gun, I'm more than happy to pull the trigger.

As for high school....long time past. But as backround, I was co-captain of the school rugby team (at a school that was ranked in the top three nationally, in a country where Rugby Football is the national sport) and prez of the hot-rod club. If "people like" you existed at the school (or college after that) then they certainly didn't register on my radar.

Actually Steve, the Intel 5520 chipset IS a Xeon mobo. It happens to be the dual socket server version of the X58 desktop chipset
    http://www.intel.com/products/server/chipsets/5500-5520/5500-5520-overview.htm
Which is precisely why the chipset exclusively supports Xeon 55xx series CPU's only, as seen here with the chipset's FULL CPU compatibility list
    http://ark.intel.com/chipset.aspx?familyID=32423
Strangely enough it does not include the Core i7 950 desktop CPU....Steve, maybe you should skateboard to Santa Clara and let Intel know that their chipset specification is incorrect...although before you set off on your incredible journey, you might like to know that Intel 5500/5520 chipsets require CPU's that have two QPI's (Quick Path Interconnects) -which ONLY Xeon CPU's have- partly the reason they are more expensive than "run-of-the-mill" Core i7's like the 950 *which have only one QPI.

    @Cap'n
Not being familiar with tertiary education in the U.S. could you tell me if UCLA is one of these "diploma mills" or "mail-order degree" outfits.
It seems their criteria for handing out certifications is rather....lax.

If I Had a Hammer... I'd Hammer in the Morning... I'd Hammer in the Evening...

.....All Over Them "Lands"...... (Does anyone here think that "Peter, Paul, and Mary" were referring to the Intel "Land Grid Array")? a cuz I shur doo.
Actually USC Berkley and UCLA, have graduated some top filmmakers. That said, this is a field where being a stoner, (along with vast amounts of talent), aids rather than abets the cause.

I don't know where you would go to to learn to "adapt" an i7-950 to a Zeon server board. I've been called a m0r0n for "attempting" to "insert" an i7-920 into a similar board. Just goes to show you what "little" I know. All this time I've been thinking that the i7-920 AND i7-950 were supported by the same chipsets. I rekon that when y'all done had gitted yerself one of dem dar da-gree thingys, yer, mission is maid more better clear.

The most salient things about these posts are the terms "simpleton", and of course, "m0r0n". A trifle petty, but I'm sure perceived as "clever" by you. Enduring wisdom has it that, "if you're going to do something, do it right". With that thought in mind, if I were about to insult someone of your "caliber", it might be something along these lines, "I find you to be a rather tedious person, an internet troll with a vastly exaggerated sense of self worth, and a rampant case of "post adolescent pseudo-intellectual pretense, no doubt fostered by excessive recreational drug abuse", additionally, your constant dalliances with phrases like, " you're out to destroy me", suggest a severe tendency to think of yourself, as someone who thinks of himself as far superior to other people. That coupled with the martyr syndrome aspect of it, might indicate fanaticism, along with perhaps paranoid schizophenia.

This would be of course, only if I were trying to insult you, which of course, I am like so not. Or, "like sooo not dude", if you find that preferable.

You beat me to the post, see above.

"procrastinaytorr" is this like a crossword clue? To wit, "a seven letter word for, procrastinaytorr".

My dictionary must the abridged version, since my synonym requires three less letters.
