recently someone has been sending me pop up adds that are not of the regular type, they resemble java pop up windows in looks and function. i have turned up my internet security and nothing has worked, i have disabled all active x and java with no effect. here is a site i got off one of the adds to get rid of them http://whiz.at/popstop i go there and check it out then it asks for 5$. as soon as that happened i knew it was a scam so has anyone had these annoying pop ups and how did they get rid of them? i have the ems freesurfer mkII have disabled all things that might make my computer a target for adds from ie to wmp ... in the email the guy said it was a program i have on my system.... any help would be appreciated
That is isven more funny than a spam email message advertising antispam email software. About your problem, are these popups, or are they Windows Messenger Service boxes?
