    PLEASE give me an advice of what kind of DVD-ROM drive to buy and not spend a lot of money.

    Any DVD-ROM drive should work just fine. They all do the same thing - Read DVDs :) So just find the cheapest one around ;)

    There is some cheap DVD ROM drives here (£20 - £25), all really good brands (LG, ASUS, SAMSON) and phat prices!

    I had a non brand DVD Rom and it ate one of my cd's and spat it out all over my motherboard! No Sh*t! Got a Samsung 16X48X now and its very reliable..... go for a brand liek Smasung. Ye ha!

    Go for the likes of LiteOn LTD-163D. This is a 16xDVD/48xCD with excellent qualifications for e.g. ripping sound-tracks.
