I've heard that using 2 RAM sticks with different clock speeds can cause instability in PC's. Because of all the problems I've been getting I was wondering if anyone could verify whether or not it matters that my RAS ~ CAS Latency on one of the sticks is 4 clocks whilst on the other stick it is 3 clocks. Same goes for the RAS Precharge which on one is 4 clocks and the other 3 clocks. It would be a great help if someone could just tell me whether or not this is a bad setup as I can easily get the one stick replaced with no costs.

Thanks,
Kev

Step 1: Download, install and open Everest Home Edition
Step 2: Click motherboard
Step 3: Click SPD
Step 4: Look at Memory Speed

This tells you what speed the memory sticks are running at. You should toss the lower one and buy a new stick of the same brand, preferrably the same type. This will give you the most stability.
