ok, so one day my computer had crashed and basically I couldn't do anything. so i formatted my hard drives to get rid of everything because I knew i can just reinstall windows. so i put in my install cd and it loads and when it's done finishing the partitions it restarts to finish the install process. but then it just says "press any key to boot from cd". well i already did that so i waited for it to finish the instsall process. but it just says ntdlr error or something how it can't read the disc or partition and I have tried everything, repaired it, used a backup cd nothing happens. i just either get that screen, or a blank screen with the key stroke in the upper left hand corner blinking. what do i do now?

Perhaps the Hard Drive is on it's way out.
Go to the Manufacturers Website & download their diagnostic tool - boot from the Floppy or CD you created and run the test. If it passes, then download & run MemTest and check your RAM, they sound like the 2 most likely suspects.
