  1. I put a Hercules Fortissimo II soundcard into my computer a few months ago, and when i did, i was running windows 98. Very recently i switched operating systems to XP and something funny happened to my soundcard driver.(dont ask what i dont remember) I tried to reinstall the soundcard driver back, but when i check device manager, its labeled as an unsupported customized crystal sound fusion audio device. I JUS WANT MY STUPID EARPHONES TO MAKE SOUND! HELP ME!!!! :knock:

I once tried to update my graphics driver by using Windows Update. It really messed it up. Uninstalling it and reinstalling the driver straight from the manufacturer's site fixed everything.

Have you tried going to the soundcard's site to find a compatible driver?

Just checking. In the Hercules control panel did you check the master volume setting just in case it got reset too low and does the speaker setup match what you have?
