could anyone help me try to find the problem with my pc.
When i turn the PC on it either runs for a second or so then cut out, or it runs with fans whirring, and power to my optical mouse, but nothing to my monitor or my USB keyboard, then it eventually cuts out.
occasionally it runs with the fans at a lower rpm, and no power light, although the hdd light remains on, and still with no power to the keyboard or monitor.

I checked all the power supply connections and voltage, they were all fine.
my PC:

Asus L1N64-SLI WS mobo
2 x AMD Athlon FX72 processors
2gb RAM
2 x Western digital raptors
Radeon X800GT

Any help would be appreciated

when you say you tested it, did you use a voltmeter and a PSU tester tool?

Did you also check the CMOS battery?

Tedster is rigth, what kind of test u did on ur PSU, because the problems are not usually the voltage but the Intensity (amount of current that PSU can deliver in a time unit). I think is better if U can borrow another PSU and test the system with a known good one.

i tested with a voltmeter, what current should the supplies be? i tried another 600W PSU and tried that, i got a green light on the mobo, however there was nothing at all when i tried the power switch.

what do you guys recommend? the mobo is only 3 months old. i'm no genius but i cant spot any problems with hardware set-up.
