HELP !!Monitor goes black after a t-storm hits

[HELP!!!]

i was playing a game and a big tunder storm hits and it turned off my comp
then we i turn on the power the monitor is all black, the device is all working.... my bro fixed it once by resetting the bios.now hes not here so i dont know where is the bios is at and dont know how to reset it plz help


my motherboard is a socket A fsb266 m811

Woooh!!

Clearing cmos resets the bios, it's a jumper on the
mother board, usually 3 pins.

Example: simply move it from pins 2&3 to pins 1&2
for 10 to 15 seconds. Then returning it to pins 2&3.
This will reset the bios to defaults.

You'll need to look in the manual to find the
location of jumper.(usually close to the battery)

Do you have away to test the monitor on another machine?

Also I recomend a good surge protector.
I'm getting some really big storms here too, so I run
3 of them for two machines. My monitors share one.
