I've just downloaded service pack 2 for windows and on reboot it went into safe mode and I can't get out. I've rebooted several times and it's the same thing. There has to be some way to do this, I'm in the process of uninstalling the pack right now, it said it hadn't installed right.
Is there any hope or am I stuck in safe mode for life? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much, Katb

Four ways to uninstall SP2 -

    1.Add/Remove programs/Show updates/.Remove.............

    2.Start/Run/type: c:\windows\$NtServicePackUninstall$\spuninst\spuninst.exe

    3.System Restore.

    4.Recovery console.

Then go and see SP2 Problem Solver

HI, thanks for the info, it fixed it's self after the uninstall, but I really appreciate you taking the time to do this for me. Now it's on to reinstalling it again, darn! Keep your fingers crossed for me,ok? Thanks, Katb
