When I try to install windows it duse not see the hard drivers I have tryed every thing.

    Description:
    athlon 64 3800
    asus a8v deluxe
    2 x kingmax twin 1 gig ddr400
    wd 200gig sata
    wd 36gig raptor 1000rpm sata
    asus a92oose
    pci 1-0 4 serial
    pioneer dvd burner

I have tryed downloading the latest raid drivers and when installing windows f6 for scsi and windows will still not see the hard drives. Bios can see them and sata is enabeled in bios.

    WHAT AM I DOING WRONG.

Which raid drivers are you using? Did you DL them from the ASUS site?
  3. evansph Newcomer, in training

yes I got them for the asus sit and did exacly as it siad and still nothing

I asked which ones because there are two sets:

The VIA K8T800Pro chipset incorporated two Serial ATA connectors with RAID 0(striping), RAID 1(mirroring), and JBOD(spanning) functions while the Promise 20378 controller provides another two Serial ATA and two UltraATA133 connectors for RAID 0(striping), RAID 1(mirroring), RAID 0+1, and multiple RAID functions. The motherboard is the ideal solution to enhance hard disk performance and security.

I'm having problems connecting to the ASUS site. If this your board then you want the Via drivers.

I tryed four drivers and none of them worked VIARAID220d, Promise_64bit_100139, 378raid_1001377, and one that downloads as floppy.

I assume this is the one that had Windows on previously. I was wondering if you had the space (most likely :) ) but do you have a partition or a program to make one that you could install Windows on and then use Disk Management to partition the smaller drive for Windows.
    A thought.
