Hello and welcome to Techspot. Sims2 requires direct x 9.0c which you can download from Microsoft Windows download centre. You can find this at www.microsoft.com/downloads you will also need to get the latest drivers for your graphics card these drivers must support direct x 9.0c If your graphics card is Nvidia you will find these at www.nvidia.com if your card is ati then www.ati.com is where you need to go. If your graphics card is niether of the above then find out what make your graphics card is let me know and I`ll see what other help I can find.
