  1. Hi all...

I'm a new user of techSpot and I hope that I can find the answer to my problem with you.
Recently I bought a new notebook with windows Vista Home Premium. But now, I can't connect to the web without getting all those anoying popups to url.cpvfeed.com. I've tried some solutions that i've found on the web but nothing. Please help me getting rid of it.

    Hello and welcome to Techspot.

Very Important: Before deciding whether you should clean or reformat your system, go and read this thread HERE and decide what it is you want to do.

If after reading the above, you wish to clean your system, do the following.

Go and read the Viruses/Spyware/Malware, preliminary removal instructions. Follow all the instructions exactly. Because you`re running Vista, some of the programmes in the above link probably won`t work, so do as much as you can.

Post fresh HJT, AVG Antispyware and Combofix logs as attachments into this thread, only after doing the above.

Also, let me know the results of the AVG Antirootkit scan.

    Regards Howard

This thread is for the use of csb346 only. Please don`t post your own virus/spyware problems in this thread. Instead, open a new thread in our security and the web forum.
