Help! Windows explorer keeps restarting. Virus?

So I've got Windows XP on my laptop and just yesterday windows explorer has been messed up. It keeps restarting and adaware and spybot s&d have come up blank.

Well how do you know they all came up blank
How did you scan it, if it keeps restarting?
