Help with 9800 pro

i bought a 9800pro and everytime i turn off my comp and then try to turn it back on my screen flickers and and get weird shapes and stuff on screen plz help
do i need to boost power to card or wut???and if so...how?

2.6 p4
350w
soyo dragon 2v1.0 black label
512 ram
yadda yadda

It could be a weak power supply. Can you swap in a different card? that will help narroe it down. What brand is the card?
