Help with my final in my vista class

ok So i have a final in a few days and i would like to know if i have the right idea.

My professor is giving use Hard drives that may or not have something on it, and he's giving us the vista installation cd. It doesn't matter how I do it but I must get vista on it and have it function.

Before I go any further the hard drive is that kind where you slide it into the computer and lock it in with a key. ( I don't know the technical name for it)

So any ways, wouldn't I just put in the Cd and make sure its booting from the disk?

After that wouldn't I just follow the self explanatory steps that vista gives you while installing ?

Sounds like it.

Check the bios if you are allowed to set the boot order, have it boot from the dvd. Then you may have to format/partition to begin the install, but that should all be just following on screen directions.
