help with NET VIEW, error 2184

  1. HEY'ALL
    I WOULD REALLY APRECIATE IT IF YOU COULD HELP ME OUT WITH THIS...

    do u know how i can fix the error 2184 (Net View)

    my computer runs on xp home box and i've been having problems to get it working, everytime shows. service has not been started.

    if anybody has a solution for this, please contact me ...

    I think I might be able to help.
    Go to start then run, type in "services.msc" without the quotes. Look for
    "Remote Access Connection Manager"" and see if the service has been started, if it hasn't (which seems it isn't) right click on it and click "Start".
    I think this may be what you're looking for.

    no fix so far

    still... no success!

    i just tried through the service.msc and event viewer, i even loaded the remote connection on startup, but nothing happens. it still shows "service has not been started. it seems like nobody knows, it's probably an uncommon problem.

    well, thank you guys.

    please post your eventlogs

    system and application logs (in eventviewer, select log, file->save as). Zip em into one zip file and attach them to this post.
