Hi all, i just built my first computer and i have everything installed and all the cables are connected right, i have 2 brand new hard drives, and when i boot up it reads them on the first boot up screen but when i go into the bios and the do the hdd auto detection it doesnt recognize any of them, what can i do?

More specs?

How did you hook them up?

HDD are they SATA? SATA on RAID? or IDE?
Make sure CS is selected on both HDD
Make sure first HDD is on 0 Master
Make sure the secondary HDD is 1 Master Slave.

thanks, i plugged in IDE and i did put them both to cs and when it first boots the computer recognizes them as drive 0 and drive 1, i still get the same message though.

You might want to do this..

Instead of using the CS pin
Try using Master for the the HDD you want to use for the OS
So it would be 0 drive Primary Master
The second drive would be your Primary Slave
Change from CS pin to Slave.

Try that or do below...

Just install one drive and put the OS on that drive. Then when you got the OS up and running. Shutdown the system.

Do you have and optical drive on secondary Master. If you do, you might want to try putting the second HDD on the secondary channel as slave drive. Don't use CS pin use the Slave pin.
