  1. I got a Dell Inspiron E1505, running Windows XP Professional Media Center Edition. I have run spybot, ad-aware, and yahoo's anti spy and I still get the CID popups. I saw some threads but they said not to use them because they were for those particular people.

If anyone can help I would really appreciate it.

    Thanks so much in advance.

The CiD infection shouldn't be too hard to remove, unless you have other infections on your system as well.

Please go and read the Viruses/spyware/malware preliminary removal instructions. Follow all the instructions exactly.

Then post fresh HijackThis, ComboFix, and AVG Anti-Spyware logs as attachments into this thread. Post the results of the Panda Antirootkit scan as well.

    Regards :)
