I am building a system using an MSI MS7033 motherboard using a P4 socket 775 processor. Everytime I try to install XP I get the following ::

STOP:0x0000007E (0xc0000005, oxF853C0BF,oxF8987F08)

pci.sys - Address F853C0BF base at F8535000, Datestamp 3b7d855c

I have tried disabling the pci express and have even installed an old pci vga card.... but still nothing.

Can anyone help?

Hi joeru2k1,
If you tried to install win XP then the following might help you:

1. Did the XP version is one with no SP (1 or 2 - hence old version)?
2. Did the message occur after the first phase of driver installation, prior to the first scheduled reboot?

If so (yes to both questions) then there might be a problem of old XP drivers with new mobo.

You need to install a newer XP version. You can get one or create it yourself. To create get another computer with CD-ROM and a copy of self extracted file of either SP (1 or 2), and use nLite (http://nuhi.msfn.org/) s/w to create a new installation CD.
When you operate the nLite use the 'add SP' and 'create OSI' options and the created OSI can be easily burnt on a new installation CD.
This CD should do the trick.

Hope it'll be OK.
