ok i just rebuilt my pc everything is new and im having freezing issues i know its not a heating issue cause i have 7 fans running in my tower ok well first here are my specs i have a asus m3a78-cm motherboard amd athlon 64 x2 dualcore 5200+ 2.70 ghz 3.00 gb ram and my os is windows 7 home premium. it started about a month after i built it so i tried a reformat it didnt work it runs fast but for some reason it will randomly freeze sometimes on startup and mostly while idle. my computer smarts only go so far .....someone told me it could be bad ram so i took out the 512 stick so i went from 3.50 gb ram to just 3 gb ram but it didnt help so now im stuck i dont see how it can be hardware considering everything is off the shelf new but things happen so can anyone help me out.

Use Memtest to check your RAM. Removing 1 stick isn't a good way to test, you need a utility like memtest or a more thorough swapping of RAM sticks to determine whether or not your RAM is at fault.

Also check your event viewer for any pattern of errors around the time of the freezes.

please title your threads more descriptively.
Random freezes can be causes by bad or failing ram (check with memtest 86+),
bad or failing PSU (check with a tester tool and a multimeter under load)
or bad drivers
