i have a WD 120 GB external hard drive and recently i created a folder an empty one i was showing my roomate how to make one...well today i noticed my drive had that empty folder with 140 GB of files and folders named with symbols that i cant delete because i get and error of volume label syntax incorrect ive tried safe mode boot, hijackthis, treesize and none delete them. my norton doesnt detect ne problems can anyone help me?!! how do i get rid of these files ? is it a virus?

is it possible to see the USB drive if you boot in Safe Mode? (never tried it) try to delete it that way.
