Heroes of the Storm player faces five years in jail for threatening Blizzard staff with AK-47

There is an old saying here "Sticks and Stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me". This guy shouldn't be locked up for essentially doing nothing but he should be mentally assessed as what he wrote was a little disturbing and may have lead to a criminal act.

Remember EVERYONE has bad thoughts, just not EVERYONE acts on them!

You do realise these "terrorists" aren't assigned an IP Addresses that could be traced to there physical location. When they build bombs they don't assign a mac address and they query a dhcp server...
Apart from your excessive grammatical errors and the poor wording (which honestly makes it sound like you don't know what you are taking about) you are partially correct. Every non local IP address in the US is handed out by an authority and I guarantee you somewhere there is knowledge of where each one is being used, at least down to the service provider. The service provider can then determine a close or exact location. For local addresses going through proxy servers, VPN, or just being NAT translated it isn't always so simple. Ultimately however if effort is put into it, we could determine a location and possibly even the person of these as well.

And again it has already been proven many times some of these cowards were not careful and were spamming threats all over the internet, just nothing was done about it. Spewing hate speech on the internet and making threats is only half of the battle though, there are so many family members, coworkers, friends, etc. of these terrorists that don't report when they see this radicalization taking place. People need to stop being so politically correct and report these things.

I really think a lot more can be done about these crazies... whether psychopaths that want to go on a killing rampage or terrorist cowards who want to kill us simply because they don't agree with our way of life. Mental health is being handled poorly or not at all in most cases. People are lazy, scared, or don't want to offend people so they don't report serious issues that could indicate someone is about to go on a mass killing spree. And who knows how much surveillance, monitoring, and action is really being done by our CIA, NSA, DHS, FBI, etc. that is actually catching these terrorists and psychopaths. Unfortunately it seems a majority of the population seems more concerned about banning an inanimate object called the gun rather than going for the source of the problem.
