Hello all. I wish I would have joined sooner, I could have gotten some advice on building my new machine. My first try. I've pulled things out and put them back in on many different machines over the past 20 years, but this will be my first to actually assemble. Here's what I'm starting with:

GIGABYTE GA-K8NS Ultra-939
AMD Athlon 64 3500+, 512K, L2 Cache, Socket 939 Windows Compatible 64-bit Processor - Retail
1GB (2X 512mb) DDRAM|PC3500 991091 MUSHKIN RT
A case with a PSU ROSEWILL RP550 Power Supply

I have 3 200GB & 2 160GB hardrives 2 CD-RW and a DVD-RW (that's why the 550Wt PS.), so I just need a graphics card and there's no since getting a cheap one that won't run games like doom3 and any new ones coming out. So I think I'll just get a Nvidia Gforce 6800GT and then I'll be broke, but I'll have pretty good graphics. LOL.
