Enable Viewing Of Hidden System Files & Folders

    1. Right Click Start.
    2. Select Control Panel.
    3. Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
    4. Select the View Tab.
    5. Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
    6. Uncheck the Hide extensions for known file types option.
    7. Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
    8. Click Apply.
    9. Click OK.

    ----------

Press ctrl+alt+Delete (all at once) to open Task Manager.

Click the Processes tab and locate z.exe Right-click it and choose End Process.

    ----------

Open HijackThis and select "Do a system scan only" and place a check mark next to:

    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [z] C:\WINDOWS\system32\z.exe

Next close all windows and click "Fix checked"

    ----------

From the desktop open My Computer and locate the following file/folder (in bold) and delete it. z.exe

    Location: C:\WINDOWS\system32\z.exe

    ----------

Rehide Hidden System Files & Folders

    ----------

I would advise running the steps in this thread and posting the logs to ensure the computer is clean.
