I just got a new computer and I am unable to run CounterStrike Source. I continually get and error message saying the hl2.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. The Error signature is this:
AppName: hl2.exe
AppVer: 0.0.0.0
ModName: Shaderapidx9.dll
ModVer: 0.0.0.0
Offset 0002e59a
Here are my System Specs:
ASUS, P5N-E SLI, LGA775, nForce 650i SLI, 1066MHz FSB, DDR2-800 8GB /4, PCIe x16 SLI /2, SATA RAID 5 /5, HDA, GbLAN, FW /2, ATX
INTEL, Core™ 2 Duo E6400 Dual-Core, 2.13GHz, 1066MHz FSB, 2MB L2 Cache, 65nm, 65W, EM64T EIST VT XD
OCZ, 2GB (2 x 1GB) Gold GX XTC PC2-6400 DDR2 800MHz CL 5-5-5-12 SDRAM DIMM, Non-ECC

WESTERN DIGITAL, 250GB WD Caviar® SE16, SATA II 300MB/s, 7200 RPM, 16MB cache
I have not tried to run other games. Also I have my Video Drivers and motherboard fully updated. Yet after I click to play Source it always says that my video Drivers are out of date that I am running on
Nvidia Ge-Force 7600 GS

I have emailed eVGA and they told me to reformat my computer. I wish to try every other option before I do that.
