How can I overclock a Toshiba Tecra?

    Hi Im new here can anyone give me step by step instructions on how to overclock a Toshibe tecra 8000.

    overclocking notebooks is extremely foolish and dangerous. Notebook computers are not designed to be overclocked as overclocking by nature requires extra cooling.

    plus, the bios is probably not too overclocking friendly.

    you can software overclock notebooks, but notebooks are not capable of extra cooling. Most notebooks already run very hot. Overclocking a notebook will yield an expensive paperweight.

    I wouldn't say foolish, but not a good idea. Not all people know this.

    foolish in the fact that:

    A: Most overclockers are new or don't have a clue on how to do it correctly - even on a desktop.

    B: doing it on a laptop or notebook is almost always fatal (to the computer.)

    C: Overclocking incorrectly is an expensive mistake that most learn the hard way.

    D: Overclocking usually shortens component life.
