Hi All,

I am connected to a Company server via WIN2000Pro built on NT technology (or so the prompt says at start up). For security reasons I want my station to 'lock out' after several minutes of inactivity or when unattended and to request a password to re-activate.

Is this possible with WIN2000?

Hi,

it was easy after... I used the screen saver option >right click on desktop>Properties>Screen saver>selected one of the screen saver images and ticked 'password protected'. I can set the idle time also.

Only drawback is that it will use my log on to network password. I wanted to create my own so that not even the Admin could see me surfing Techspot ;-)

Think twice about what you said!
If you surf using the work-connection, they know exactly where you go, what time and for how long. Big Brother is watching you!

Both points taken.

I confine my surfing to technical matters which I can mostly justify.
