How do I Edit a mini dvd-r disc ?

I have a "mini dvd-r" disc from a video camera. It plays in my dvd player and computer but I need to find a way to edit the disc. Is there software out there that can take the video off the disc and edit it and then burn it to a regualr dvd disc ?
