how do i find out.........

  1. my computer runs on 128mb of RAM on a windows xp operating system. im going to buy so more RAM because gaming and general performance is slow. what i want to know is how do i find out what type of RAM i need for my computer ie how do i find out what RAM works with my computer

    Your mobo manual should tell you that.

    If you don`t have you mobo manual. You will be able to get it from your mobo manufacturers website.

    Mobo=Motherboard.

    I doubt whether it`ll be on your hard drive.

    If your computer is an oem build. I.E Dell/Compaq/Gateway etc. You can go to your computer manufacturers website in order to find out what ram your system will support.

    If your computer is non oem, then like I said earlier. Go to your mobo manufacturers website.
