How do I legally transfer Windows XP home retail to another pc?

    I read that it is possible to transfer an existing license of Windows XP retail to another computer as long as the original computer no longer has Windows XP. This abids by the product licensing rule thing.

    How would I do this? Do I install it on my second pc, then call Microsoft during activation and explain my reason to transfer? Because I dont know what to do.

    Any help appreciated!

    You hit the nail right on the head. Give MS a call and tell them you'll be using XP on another computer and they'll give you the proper numbers & letters.
