How do I modify the programs that run at start up

I have windows XP and I cant find where I can go in and edit the programs that start up when my system starts?

Start/Run/type :"msconfig" without the quotes/OK/Startup tab

I use a program called Startup Manager from INAC, it's freeware works great.

Look in the startup folder in the start menu and or
Use a registry editing tool to navigate to the following keys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
Warning, edit the registry at your own risk. If you don't know what your doing don't do it.
