  1. The numeric option on my Toshiba A21m laptop is somewhat turned on. How do I bring it back to the normal keys? What happens is when I try to type J or K or L, the numbers 1 or 2 or 3 comes up. How can I change it back to the alpha keys? Thanks

Look for a key labelled Num Lock or something similar (perhaps an arrow with a number inside). You may have to use shift or the fn key to toggle it.

on my toshiba laptop there is a numeric keypad toggle
hold down Fn key and press F11
    to get 1 when the j key in pressed, 2 when k is pressed, 3 = l, 4=u etc
