how do i update graphics card after reformatting

  1. hey im new here and i have a bit of a problem yesterday i reformatted my computer because i had some software problems and i got star wars galaxies the other day and i keep getting a direct 3d problem so i installed direct x again but that did not work so i thought it might be my graphics card might need updating but i cant seem to find it i went to device manager and its not there so could someone help me out thanks.

    ps im useing a radeon 1200 if anyone wants to know

    You need to install the motherboard's chipset drivers. The video card should show up in the device manager after doing this. You can then install the video card drivers.

    is this computer custom or prebuilt?

    i got it brand new about two years ago

    ok well if u look for ur motherboard manufacturer on the mobo or in the manual that u got u can go to the site and look for the drivers there
