Harry_Beast for reference check out GameSpot.com they usually have it, and it's always under Hints & Cheats. Anyway for both Counter-Strike: Source and Half-Life 2 you have to first open the console (Press ~ but first make sure the console's activated. It should be under Keyboard Options in the Advanced tab!) then type in "cl_showfps 1". Now to get rid of it, just type in the same thing but! Switch the 1 with a 0. Should look like "cl_showfps 0". (No quotations) For a more detailed one type in "net_graph 1". - Now for Quake 4! Press ~, ctrl and alt then type in "com_showfps 1"
