Whenn i try to run ipconfig/all I get error message "windows cannot find command". ipconfig opens but immediately collapses or crashes. What gives?

    What os?

it should be ipconfig /all (need the space) in Windows NT, 2000, XP, 2003.

In 95 and 98 you type in winipcfg

k, that worked fine but is it 'sposed to collapse as soon as it opens?

collapse, meaning that you were able to get into cmd and type ipconfig /all and then the cmd prompt went away? if so, this may be caused by some sort of malware/spyware or virus.

    run the CMD or COMMAND
and inside that enter ipconfig /all

    you can also use
in XP, run 'cmd /k ipconfig all'
in win98, run 'command /k ipconfig all'

Or from Start menu choose Run and type command and hit enter...
    Then type the ipconfig command.
ipconfig /? will list all the available switches.

    patio.
